It was a gloomy, overcast morning in Sandy Eggo. Perfect weather for a hike!
Me & and few friends headed out to hike at Lake Hodges. Its a beautiful area, and right now because of the rain, the lake is super high! Normally, you can see a 10-12 foot water line surrounding the lake, right now though its so high its over flowing at the damn!
Everything is so green and pretty...it felt like we were hiking in a tropical forest!
This abandoned house has a tree leaning against it!
When we arrived at the top of the damn, there were two stupid humans in kayaks right at the damns edge.
Apparently, they felt the need to test their skills. Thankfully, they didn't go over the edge, cuz it was quite a drop on the other side!
the river below the damn was filled with Snowy Egrets. They were everywhere!
I had so much fun hiking with my favorite girls! Poppy (Standard Schnauzer), Ginger (Pit Bull Terrier), and Dhani (All American Dog).
Dhani had a great time!
After a while, the sun started to peak through. I was getting a bit hot with my pack on, so Mom was nice enough to take it off and let me hike naked.
later in the hike, a 9 year old Dane named Falcor joined us. She looked amazing for 9 years old!
What a great way to start off the weekend! Now, I think I'll go take a nap.

We are debating about getting a backpack for Darwin, but were unsure if it would make her too hot, especially in the summer. Any thoughts on it?
