RIP Wilson

The San Diego Great Dane Meetup group lost one of our own Thursday evening. 

Wilson was a Danetiff, a Mastiff Dane mix, and one of the gentlest souls I have ever met

Over the last few months, Wilson had been having some health problems. He had lost some weight, was put on medication for a heart condition and his liver wasn't working as well as it should have.

We hadn't seen him in a really long time cuz Mom stopped taking me to the meetups when I was having the problems with my legs, but when we did go and Wilson was there, it always meant it would be a special day.

Wilson was a registered Therapy dog and was always so gentle with the new pups as they came into our group.

Wilson and his dad loved to make people smile...and he always had some of the best costumes during Halloween!

Everyone who met Wilson knew he was a special boy.

Thursday night, after a long day of his favorite activities, Wilson's heart decided it had had enough. As he was getting out of the car to go in the house, Wilson collapsed and then passed away peacefully in his humans arms.

There was no pain or suffering for Wilson, but the humans who knew and loved him are very sad that he had to go to the bridge so soon.

We will never forget you, handsome man. You were one of a kind & we love you.

RIP Wilson. You will be missed.
