NeighborDog Dageaux

Tonight, NeighborDog Dageaux stopped by to say "Hi". Mom and I were just gettin ready to head to dog park, so instead we invited him in for a little playin and rompin.

Dageaux is a super handsome Brindle dane who lives around the corner with his super nice human, Duncan. He's about 13 months old and all legs!

I think you can really see the Greyhound bloodlines in Dageaux. Mom thinks he came from a BYB like me, cuz his daddy was a fawn dane and his mommy was a blue dane. She says that's not a good color match, at least according to the Great Dane Club of America. That means that while Dageaux is a super great fellow to hang around with, he really shouldn't be bred. Luckily his human is planning on gettin him fixed pretty soon. He doesn't really seem broken to me though, so I'm a little confused.

As you can see from these pictures, he's quite a bit taller than me. I'm a bit stockier when compared to Dageaux, which is funny cuz Mom was just tellin me this morning that I must be havin a growth spurt in the vertical direction this week cuz she was startin to see a few ribs again.

This isn't a very good picture of me, but Mom wanted me to post it anyway cuz she said you can really see the difference in height here.

We had a really great time foolin around tonight! Dageaux likes to play chase but Mom's yard is not quite big enough for two of us big doggies to be runnin around full speed in, so instead we wrestled around and played bitey face for a lil while.

I got him pinned real good here!

Then it was Dageaux's turn. He thought he was bitin me, but all he was really doin was chewin on his own leg! What a dork!

I smooshed him real good a little later on!

It was pretty hot out though, so our play din't last very long. We shared a drink of water and both our humans were laughing at us cuz our tongues were so long!

We played for a little bit longer, and then when we were both pooped out and restin Dageaux's human said they had to get going. Din't they know we were just gettin our 2nd wind?

Hopefully he'll come back soon for another playdate! That was fun!

Dear Murphy,
What great photos! I am so jealous as I don't have another Dane to play with :o(
Dageaux looks like a good dawgy that plays nicely with you.
He is very tall and slender isn't he?
I love your camo coat by the way. I don't manage to camouflage with anything but the kitchen; but that is kind of handy!

smooches,
Mr Darcy
