Mom's back & it's a giant MOUSE!

Guess What?!?

Mom's back!! (and she wanted me to say "thanks" to all the nice doggies & doggie humans who sent the sweet messages about her Aunt's crossing of the rainbow bridge)

I was so very excited when she came in the front door. As I heard the key in the door, I really thought it was either my super favoritest neighbor Adelle, her most wonderful daughter Hailey, or the bestest pet sitter in all of San Diego, Elissa.

But NO! It was MOM!!! Oh boy oh boy oh boy!! I could hardly contain my excitements and almost knocked over my xpen! When Mom opened up the door to my pen, I couldnt wait to have her hands give me those great pets and rubs. I nibbled and mouthed her, even though I know Im not suppose to...I just couldn't help myself though and had to keep testin to make sure it wasn't a dream. Mom laughed and giggled as she wiped the droolies off her hands and arms, so I don't think she minded too much. I got lots of hugs and kisses from her, so I think she missed me too!

Later, the next day we got to go to the doggie food & toy store. Its one of my all time favorite places, cuz not only do I get lotsa yummy treats but I also usually get to pick out a new toy. Today I got to do BOTH!

I am quite the toy expert. I really like toyz that have all the right qualities. They gotta be fuzzy....and stuffed....and squeak...and grunt...and the bestest thing of all is when they have long flippy floppy things hangin from them!

I snuffled thru the toy aisle and finally settled on this. A giant mouse! It had all the right stuff and once we got home I really settled in to showin it who was boss of dis here house!

Here's the little monster that was chosen to come home with us. Just look at those beady eyes. That fluffy fur. Those giant floppy ears, and even floppier tail. This mouse spells nuthin but T.R.O.U.B.L.E

Luckily, I knows how to deal with critters like this.

First you gotta stare em down.

Show no fear.

Next, pounce on em.

Put their whole head in your mouth and show em you mean business.

Gotta get a good grip on dem with your paws. They can be slippery little suckahs, so use those dew claws if you have them.

Lastly...give em a really good shake!
Make sure you get good ear floppin and lip slappin, its a very effective way of scarin them critters.
Here's a video of me in action...check out my mouse monster smashin and thrashin skillz. They are da bomb!

If you listen...you can hear the lil guy gruntin and groanin as I test out my moves on him. Poor thing is beggin for his life...don'cha worry though, I showed NO MERCY!

That is an awesome toy Murphy. Did it have a big tag? The tag is my favorite part and you've got to chew it off first. That way Momma can't return it. Although I guess once you slobber all over it you can't return it either.

Anyway, I'm jealous.

That is a great toy Murphy! Darwin would love one like that with the long tail! Jason says I already spoil her too much, but it's so hard when you have such cute faces!
