Wow! What a weekend! Yesterday was one of the busiest days I've had in a really really long time.
First, me & Mom met up with the
Dog Walkers of San Diego Meetup group at the
Bernardo Winery. Its a very cool vineyard just about 30 minutes outside of downtown Sandy Eggo.

Bernardo Winery was founded in 1889. That's a TON of dog years!!!
They are super dog friendly, so the organizer of our meetup setup a private tour for us. There were about 18 people, and each person was allowed to bring one doggie. A few of my favorites were there, like Paxton the Standard Poodle, Poppi the Standard Schnauzer and my bff Ginger, the pittie.
We had a big patio area all to ourselves, overlooking a grassy area known as Uncle Vito's.
Ginger was super happy to see me...but then again what's new? BOL!
First we got a walking tour of the winery, complete with lots of history about the founding of the winery, how they stayed in business during something called Prohibition, and how some of the land the winery originally owned was sold and developed into the very first 'planned' community in the US!
There are now lots of little shops & cafes on the property, all selling lots of different stuff, but we didn't go into any cuz none of it was dog stuff!

We even got to go into one of their wine cellars. It was so nice and cool in there...I wish we coulda stayed in there all day!

| Mom's favorite part...when the wine came out! BOL! |
It was a gorgeous afternoon, and I wish we coulda spent longer there, but me and Mom had an engagement in the afternoon and had to cut wine tasting short a bit.
Will tell you more about our Saturday evening adventure another time!

Tiki looks almost exactly like my dog Latte. I'd love to know what breed the owner thinks the dog is. I've been guessing mine is Jack Russell and Corgi.
Oh, and wine tour looks supremo!
You always go to the coolest places with your group, Murphy...and you're SO lucky to find such dogfriendly places!! I would love to go on a winery tour!
