Registered Schmegistered

Mom's tryin to make me official.

Whatever.

She's takin funny pictures of me and sendin them in to the American Kennel Club. Apparently, she wants me to be able to compete in Obedience Competitions, and maybe even Rally...and I guess you gotta be registered with 'the club' in order to do that.

Mom says the stuffy folks at the AKC will only give me a limted registration, since my Mom & Dad aren't AKC registered and my coloring is way off of standard, but we don't care. To have fun at obedience trials, all we needs is the limited registration anyway.

Here are my official stuffy Mc'Gruffy pictures.

Front View (as if you couldn't tell)

Side View

It takes 3-4 weeks to get processed, so we can't sign up for any trials until then, but Mom says we have to keep going to obedience classes so I can become real good at listening to her commands. I kinda like it cuz I get to be with Mom, and she always gives me lots of pats and kisses and hugs when I listen to her real good.

Well that is just plain snobby of them! You are a seriously handsome boy by any standards IMO! I am glad they will let you do the fun stuff at least. I was thinking this sounded like Rudolph the red nosed reindeer kinda thing for a minute. Moose was akc registered as a puppy either by his original owner or the breeder but has since grown into a waaaay non standard sized lab so their standards for evaluating standard are obviously applied willy-nilly! Anywho, if you goal os to compete in obedience and rally I am glad they will let you do that!

Natasha has papers and Cheoah came with papers (but we do not think they are really hers), but the rest of The Herd is unregistered. No worries for us, since they are all fixed. But still cool that you can do the limited register in order to participate in events.

We're about to do the same thing! Downloaded the form the other day so I can send it in. I wish they'd change it to where you could do it all online, submit your pictures, pay and all.

Perfect photos. I'm tempted to congratulated you already, but I'll wait. You forgot to check the "expedite" box in the top right corner of page two. What? We're in a hurry to hear the good news.

YOu gotta be registered to do Rally? That's stooopid. I'm not registered cause Momma & Dad don't wanna register me. They think some of the AKC stuff is hipppo-critikal.

God, Murphy - I can't believe your colour is not "official" - you are one of the most beautiful patterned Danes I have ever seen!!

Anyway, who needs stupid human papers anyway?! (Well, OK, just so you can do the fun Obedience thing...but I can't believe you need papers to even do that!!)
