In other words....blunt, boorish, corse, graceless, ignorant, impolite, inconsiderate, insulting, loutish, uncivil, uncouth, uncultured, unmannerly, & just plain rude.
Tonight, me & Mom went to another "Leash Your Fitness" class. This one was at Mission Bay, in an area where there are always several other bootcamp type groups doing their workout.
After we finished class, we were walking back to the car and had to pass by one of the other groups. Almost everyone from the group stopped what they were doing to come say Hi to lil ole me. I got lots of pets and pats and body rubs.
Except for this one girl...who was obviously scared of me. So scared in fact, that the entire 5-10 minutes while I enjoyed the attentions of the others, she felt it important enough to make snide and rude comments.
"that's not a dog", "Ewww...he's too big"
oh...and when I slobbered a bit on the exercise ball she just happen to be using "yuck! gross! I can't touch that now!".
Now, I'm not sayin everybody has to like me...I understand that I'm kinda a big boy and that some people...especially peoples who aren't used to dogs, might be intimidated...but this dumb girl was just rude. And it wasn't just that she said it once...cuz Mom heard her the first time and knew she was scared of me, so she din't even let me go over to say Hi. No, this girl must have made about 5 or 6 rude comments the entire time we were standing there.
I shoulda just bited her. That woulda given her sumthin to be scared of!
I mean seriously...how could you not just love a pooch with a schnoz like dis one?

on the other hand yea to all those others who knew you are a love bug! i love those kind of people!
we were at the park one weekend and there was a dad there with his 2 kids, and most kids are scared of darwin cause of her size, but these 2 kids LOVED dar and all her dane friends. it was the cutest thing ever! we need more people like that!
Oh Murphy, I'm so sorry you had to run into that rude lady...you know some people just don't even want to get to know us...they see us and think oh my god...what's that. If they would only just give us a chance...her loss. I would have shook my head at her and let the slobber fly all over her...Hee Hee.

I agree with Darwin, if you were staying away from her she did not need to keep mouthing off! It sounds to me like she was nervous and probably jealous of the attention you were getting! I would have been one of the ones gushing over you, even with the drool! Though as mom to a bi drooler I am always horrified when Moose drools on people. People's laps at the dog park are a favorite of Moose's!

Ah Murphy I understand.
People tell me I'm not a dog all the time. Momma wishes she could treat those people's children the way they treat me. Cause then they'd understand how they make doggie Mommas feel.
Maybe next class you can pee on her exercise ball instead?

I hear ya! Not only am I big, VERY drooly but I have a ton of hair to go with the drool! People make comments all the time about me being a horse to ride or how icky I am....BUT Beth always steps in and says she would never have a dog that didn't drool or shed and that if people don't like it they should stay away. That makes me smile.
BARK! I agree with Mooses mommy. She was probably jealous of the attention you were getting. Not worth any time thinking about. Just enjoy the hooomans that were loving on you. We are BEAUTIFULL!!

That happens to our pitties alot. Then I usually make Miss M. do one of her tricks (wave, walk in a circle and stand next to me) and the other people around them are so amazed they just look dumb.

How RUDE is right! It's one thing for people not to particularly enjoy doggies but to make comments like that is just plain uncalled for. I think my Mom would have said a thing or two back. This makes us angry but we are also laughing that you slimed her ball...hehehe! Way to go on that one!

I agree with Moose's human - it would have been different if you were slobbering all over her but if you were just leaving her alone, she had no right to keep saying rude things!! Huh! Some people! They just want attention in any way - even if they have to do nasty things to get it!
