Puppy Love Run

The Puppy Love run was held in the north end of Del Mar, CA...right before you go into Solana Beach. Its a super pretty area of the northern area of Sandy Eggo, about 25 minutes north of down town.
it was a cold and gloomy morning! Perfect for running, but Mom was chilly while we waited!

We had a big team again! 25 walkers and runners, representing our Leash Your Fitness family. It was so much fun!

We even had a celebrity amongst us! Our own Scooter Bailey won a local contest and got his picture on some treat bags. He was super nice to share them with all of us!

This was me & Mom's 2nd 5K together. The last one was about a month ago and we had a ton of fun. This one supported Helen Woodward Animal Center which holds a special place in our heart cuz that's where cousin Dhani came from!

I got to see my beautiful furriend Cleo! I haven't seen her and her Mom in such a long time, I had to give her lots of leans!

We ran the whole 3.1 miles. Mom hasn't found our race results yet so I don't know how fast I was, but I do know Mom was totally draggin me down the whole time.

Hazel Rose came out again...she loves the social aspect of these races, but is definitely not a 'runner' so her Mom pushes her along in a stroller. Lucky dog!

I got lots of attention from everyone. Good thing I don't mind havin my picture taken!

My Grandpaw & Grandmaw were visiting, so Mom had someone to take lots of pictures of us. Usually she's the one with the camera so there aren't very many of the two of us together!

Mom, Denise & Cathy were stylin with their running skirts and compression socks. I personally thought she looked kinda funny.

Cousin Dhani and her Mom ran with Megan and Hazel Rose. She was so excited to see me at the finish line! You'd have thought we hadn't seen eachother in months...but it had only been about 30 minutes! BOL!

There weren't many Danes at the event. I think I might be the only 'racer' in all of Sandy Eggo! Prolly cuz Mom makes me work out with her 2-3 times a week...its important to work up distance in doggies, just like it is in humans. And...us Danes should never go running before we are full grown! Mom didn't start takin me out til I was almost 2!!

Some body even brought a pig to the event! Don't tell anyone, but I was totally freaked out by it. It made lots of weird noises. Mom kept laughing at me, calling me the mighty boar hunter. I did NOT find it funny. Not one bit.

more adoring fans
There was a costume contest so some of the people dressed up quite silly

This looks like it was such a fun day! Even if your mom held you back the best part was spending the day together.

Thank you for sharing it with us.
