Ok, so it really wasn't a whole day...more like a snow morning, but it was still fun!!
Not to rub it in to my blogger furriends who live in some of the colder areas of the country, but it sure is super cool to live here in Sandy Eggo.
We get gorgeous weather the majority of the time, and then even when our weather is cruddy its still only slightly cruddy.
Last week was one of those cruddy weather weeks. It rained on Monday and Wednesday so I didn't get to go for my run with Mom on either day. Tuesday she ditches me for her own workout class, and Thursday...we were suppose to go to obedience class but she ditched me again for dinner with a friend who was only in town for one day.
To make up for it she promised me an awesome weekend. It started yesterday with the fun hike at Lake Hodges. Today, me & a bunch of my furriends went up to Mount Laguna for a romp in the snow. I had no idea snow could be so fun!!
We drove about an hour and 15 minutes in people time up to Mount Laguna. To the same place we do our annual camping trip with Leash Your Fitness. Its a gorgeous location with lots of good hiking trails
There was a lot of snow up here earlier in the week, but we are back to sunny days so a lot of it had melted. It was still pretty though and gave all of us an opportunity to check it out. Only Hannah and Mira had ever been to the snow before so it was a first time experience for me, Dhani, Gigi & Ginger.
Mom still doesn't let me off leash too much, cuz of that back-end problem I had last year where we were worried I had the dreaded "W" word...but Dhani, Mira and Ginger had a blast running around in the snow!
Hannah is a gorgeous 15 month old Blue Great Dane who is going thru a little bit of the teenage stage. Her Mom says she can be totally fine with other dogs, and then all of a sudden gets snarky...so she had to stay on leash too. Mom actually thought she did much better than she expected! She thinks with a little more training, and a lot more daily exercise, Hannah would soon remember her manners and behave like the sweet girl we know she can be.
Poor little Gigi didn't have enough fur or body fat to keep her warm and soon was trembling and shivering from the cold. Good thing she's still small enough to fit inside her Mom's coat! I tried to get my Mom to do that with me, but she wouldn't even try!
Of course, Mom had to make us all pose for the group pictures. Gigi and Mira kept facing the wrong way cuz their Mom was lying down behind the big log hanging on to Gigi's leash so she wouldn't make a quick break for it!
I can't wait to go back some time to do some more hiking in the snow...but I'm sure glad we don't live where it snows all the time! My tootsies were COLD by the time we left!!

Snoooow! Great pictures! So handsome!
What a fun day! And it's more fun to drive to the snow than have it come to you cause it never arrives at a convenient time.
