Mutt Mingle

Me & Mom went to a Mutt Mingle at the Porto Vista Hotel in Little Italy. It was our first time at an event like this at this location and Mom was a little nervous about how it was going to play out. The last yappy hour we went to was a little chaotic, with lots of dogs off-leash in a pretty confined space...Mom thinks that can be a recipe for a fight. Plus, lots of the owners weren't even paying attention to their dogs. What's the point of taking your dog some place if you are just going to forget he or she is there once you get there?

This one was on the rooftop of a really nice hotel over-looking Sandy Eggo harbor.

Since it was on the roof, that meant I got to go on an elevator ride! I'd been in one before, when I was a little tyke, but it had been a while so I was a little nervous. Its kinda a strange feeling to feel the floor movin below ya!

Once on the roof though, I decided it wasn't so bad. The view was super nice, and the patio was nice and spacious. Plenty of room for us big doggies!

A few of my favorite friends were here from the Great Dane Meetup. Sampson (the fawn), Bella (the merle), Wilson (not shown) and an English Mastiff friend from the park named Walter. Walter is super duper dog friendly, but super duper scareded of humans so he was hunkered down behind the table so no one would pet him.

Bella and I got to play a bit, but it was kinda hard cuz we were on our leashes. Mom doesn't like it when I play on my leash...prolly cuz I am always getting tangled up in it!

If you look closely, you'll notice that the thing I am standing on is actually a coffee table! Boy oh boy, I could never get away with that at home!

Mom even let me get up in one of the chairs so she could take my picture with the view! Unfortunately, she musta left her photo takin skillz at home...cuz this one dint turn out all that great, you can't even see that sky!

As we were leaving, I saw this guy comin in. Apparently, he doesn't know that dogs are allowed tonight!! BOL!

Anyway, Mom says this Mutt Mingle was much better than the last. Most people kept their doggies on-leash, which made for a much less stressy experience for Mom. Those that were off leash stayed super close to their humans and didn't get into trouble. All in all it was a fun way to spend an evening!
