K9's & Cocktails

Monday night, Mom took me to a function called "K9's & Cocktails". It was the first yappy hour that Station Tavern put on, with the help of their friends at South Bark Dog Wash.

The San Diego Great Dane Meetup Group really represented that night. In total there were about 8 danes that came out for the yappy hour!

It was a fun evening, but a little stressy for Mom. Unfortunately, most of the doggies were being let off leash. The patio area was relatively big, but with all the tables & chairs there really wasn't a lot of room for all of us doggies to be running around off leash. Fortunately most of the doggies were well behaved and there were only one or two scuffles that broke out.

Wilson had the best seat in the house!

I gots to meet a cute lil Frenchie pup. Boy was she sweet!

This girl was the most senior of the group at 8 years old. She was such a pretty blue brindle!

Maggie & Duke took advantage of the free dog treats that were being handed out.

Mom was mean and kept me on my leash the whole time, so I could only watch as the other doggies stood beggin for some foodables.

I sure hope Mom doesn't get any funny ideas from this lil guy!

Even though it was a lil chaotic with all the doggies running around, it was still a fun time! I always like seeing my Great Dane friends, and making new ones!

Yappy hour! Love it! Off leash in a small area with that many dogs is a scary thought! I love these fundraisers with dogs at bars!

Thanks for you comment on our last post. Since we got home we've been working on touching her feet and back more (we were doing it occasionally before, but are now making a more wholehearted effort at it). I thought it was interesting the vet took a "oh she growled let's muzzle her" approach, when the other vets we've seen have said "oh she growled that must be a painful spot" approach. Im trying not to take it too personally but its hard when they're your babies. :)

Wow how cool is that? That frenchie sure was cute and the Vampire Wife says the senior blue brindle looks so "distinguished".

woah - you should've warned me that I needed shades - that little dog has the brightest colored fur I've ever seen. I must say it's terrible, not even color coordinated.

You always got ot the coolest events, Murphy! Although that poor little Japanese Chin - eek! I think that's veering a bit close to animal cruelty! :-)
