its here!

Woofeee! As some of you may know, I was prestigiously named America's Next Model-dog. Back in July, at just the wee young age of 6 months, I got my first (and only) modeling gig.

A photographer had posted in the local Craigslist that he was lookin for model-dogs for a coffee table book he was puttin together. Mom sent him a photo of me, and the next thing I knew we were being whisked away (ok, not really whisked...Mom drove her faithful CRV) to Oceanside, CA for a photo shoot.

Oceanside isn't really that far, but for a 6 month old it seemed like furevers. After the photoshoot was over, Andrew (the photographer) told Mom he liked me so much that he might consider putting me on the cover. WOOF! Dat's exciting!!

Well, Mom got an email about a week ago letting her know the book was finally ready! We loaded up in the car and drove to Muttropolis in Solana Beach. It was a pickup parteh!! Lots of the doggies who were in the book were also at the store to pick up their copies!

Here are a few of us...waiting patiently in line for our books. See that lil blue pit bull? His name is Enzo...he was only 8 weeks old when he landed the modeling gig!
We got home, and Mom started takin pictures of the book so I could blog about it. Here's the front of the book. Notice...no Murphydog on the cover. Guess my extra large body, even at 6 months, was too big to fit with the title in the center like that.

But check this out!! Does dis doggie on the back of the book look familairs?

Its ME!!! I made the back cover! Woofie!!

There are also several pictures on the inside of the book as well. I forgot what a cute young pup I was!

Mom really wanted to get some pictures of me with the book, but for some reason I found the book to be very very scary. Not sure if it was the doggie on the front (although I did meet her in real life and she wasn't scary at all). Anyway, I could hardly sit close to the book long enough for Mom to take any pictures. Look how worried I look here!

Even here, you can tell I am just not comfortable. Hey...give a guy a break. Maybe I know sumthin about the book that you dont. Maybe its possessed. Or full of evil spirits. You never know!

but I'm not stickin around to find out!! Yikes!
p.s. Mom wanted me to let you know...there's a link to the book on the right hand side of the blog. Click on that to see some of the other doggies in the book (there were 2 other Great Danes!) or to order yourself a copy. Some of the proceeds go to local animal shelters, so not only will you get the most handsomeness of handsome great danes in your book but your money goes to a good cause!
