Sunday Funday

Yesterday was a strange day here in Sandy Eggo. Weird, wet stuff fell from the sky. Mom called it 'rain'. Its something I haven't seen much of so when we went to the park and it started raining, I had lots of fun catchin the drops on my tongue!

Today was back to normal. Beautiful and sunny, although a tad bit on the chilly side. Good weather for runnin and playin at the beach though!

Rusty was a super fun Vizla. We had a blast chasin eachother around! Especially after I stole his ball!

We ran thru the water and had lots of fun. I was all wet within minutes of arriving at the beach!

Mom said I looked like a drowned rat. Yeah! A very BIG drowned rat!!

Maggie (merle), Cloey (mantle) and Dexter (italian greyhound) from dog park joined us at the beach today. It was fun running around with them too! They are some of my favoritest doggies. Dexter is such a wee little guy, but he acts like he's the same size as us danes!

Ari and Titan also came to play. Ari is such a beautiful girl...I tried to get her to come romp with us but I don't think she wanted to get her hair wet.

Beautiful Ari & Titan

Because of the storm, there were big piles of seaweed all over the beach. We all had a good time investigating them. They sure smelled salty!

I think I discovered why Dexter is always chasing Cloey around. Wouldn't you too if someone was stickin their tongue out at you?

Here's Ari...again, lookin beautiful on the beach. I wonder if she knows how pretty she is?

We ran and ran and ran, all morning long!

And Ari just kept lookin pretty.

Dexter found the bottom of a piece of seaweed and pretended it was a ball. We all laughed at his silliness, especially since it was almost as big as he was!

Then I found this big post from a fence. I had a great time runnin around with it! Mom gave me her meanie face though and made me drop it. Sumthin about it being dangerous to run with a pointy stick in my mouth. I dint see what the big deal was.

After we left the beach, Mom and her friends decided to go get something to eat at a local restaurant. Luckily for her, all us doggies were too tired out to do any begging!

Even now, its almost time for Mom to go to bed and I've been sleepin since we got home! What a ruff day! ;)

What fun! You Danes can really run fast. I would love to chase you at the beach. It is great to spend time with your friends and run around until you are exhausted.

Your friend,

That does look like a lot of fun. But exactly how chilly could it be in Sandy-Eggo?

Hey Murphy - how often do you get to the beach??? Looked like tons of fun! Thanks for your interest in the surf-a-thon. It'll probably never happen for me, but you live nearby & should definitely participate!

those are some fantastic times at the beach--sigh-to have such nice powdery sand, we only have craigy sharp rocks and freezing cold water. sure wish it was us.

ps--yes technically it should be stump--but that didn't rhyme--hehehe!!!!!
