San Elijo Lagoon

Several of my buddies are bulldogs...and because of this they can't do super long, or super strenuous hikes. They don't do well in the heat either, so they often don't get to join us on our hikes.

It was super chilly in Sandy Eggo recently though, perfect bully hiking weather!

We hit the San Elijo Lagoon, up in the Solano Beach are of Sandy Eggo. Its about a 30 minute drive from my house, and right along the coast so its usually cooler.

Riley instantly found a disgusting water bottle, hiding among the reeds, and filled with disgusting algae and mossy water. He decided it was the BEST thing in the whole world, and carried it for the entire hike.

It was a gorgeous day out, and there were lots of water birds in the lagoon.

Riley really did fall in love.

This sign made Mom laugh...check out all the bird poo on it! Apparently the birds wanted to make sure we got the message!

When the hike ended, Riley's Mom had to bribe him to leave his treasure behind. I'm guessing he pouted the whole way home!

Mission Trails Walkabout

Sundays have become our hiking day. Mom has a goal of trying to hike a different place every Sunday, maybe not a new place that we haven't been to before...but at least to get out hiking!

So, a couple of Sunday's ago we hit Mission Trails Regional Park again. This was from several weeks back...Mom just has been slacking about posting to my bloggie. If you are on FB, you might have seen these pictures already.

This time we started on the South side of the park by the visitor center and did an out an back hike of about 5 miles.

Along the way, Mom and her friends always keep an eye out for 'photo ops'. Sheesh. Can't we just hike?!?

Mirabella, the Kerry Blue Terrier, is the best of all of us. Her 'stays' are rock solid, and she can climb like a cat!

I'm kinda limited cuz I'm pretty top heavy and whenever I try to jump up on something that is too tall, I easily fall backwards and Mom's paranoid that I'll hurt myself so she never even lets me try.

That means I never get to climb trees! She's absolutely no fun!

I is a star!

Halfway thru January and my dumb Mom hasn't even posted to wish everydoggy & everykitty a Happy New Year! What a slacker!

I'm sorry. She's been super busy with her work, and then our monitor at home died so she couldn't get on the computer. She finally got a loaner monitor and ordered a new computer, but it hasn't come yet.

I forced her to get on this morning though cuz I wanted to share my exciting news! I was on a national television show!!

I know I've talked about the workout group, Leash Your Fitness, that me & Mom belong to.

Well, last February a film crew came out to film us for a TV show called Natural Companions. You can read about how fun that was here

It took a while, but I FINALLY got to see the video. And guess who seems to be the star? ME! BOL!

Well, not really...Leash Your Fitness is the star, but they sure musta liked me cuz I got lots of airtime.
