Leash Your Fitness Annual Camp Trip

Sorry...Mom has been horrible about keeping up with the blog lately. Its not that there's nothing going on in our lives, just a lot of the same thing and we figure it wouldn't be all that exciting to blog about the same thing (LYF bootcamp classes, LYF running club, & Obedience classes) over and over again.

This weekend though we finally did something different! It was the annual Leash Your Fitness camp trip!

We camped in the same location as a couple of years ago. A gorgeous camp ground called "Laguna Portal" up at Mount Laguna...about a hour and 15 minutes East of Sandy Eggo.

Unfortunately, Mom had a commitment early Saturday morning so we just got to go up for one night, but it was still super fun.

There were 16 people and 19 doggies. Gigi, a gorgeous little Staffy, was the youngest on the trip this year. Just 7 months old! She figured out camp life pretty quickly.

Since we stayed in the same site as in 2009, Mom took advantage and got a duplicate picture to the one she took back on my first camp trip. I think I look much for sophisticated and mature, dont you?

I swear...this little girl did not slow down for one second. See her blurry tail....she wags it at 100 million miles per hour! She's a crazy insane little terrior, and I had to get all grumpy on her a few times cuz she was just too insane. Mom said she was proud of me though. I corrected her with appropriate body language & warning growls but never lost my cool even when she was bounce bounce bouncing in my face.

Her sister Mirabella is just the opposite. Of course she's also 8 years old instead of 7 months, so that has a lot to do with it. She's one of my favorite doggies & we get along great.

Of course my BFF Ginger was there too. We always have so much fun together!

The weather was perfect. Bright blue skies without a cloud to be seen. That also mean it got pretty hot during the day though, so we had to keep our hikes to early morning and late afternoon.

That allowed for a lot of lounging around and relaxing. Peanut, the Boston, was excellent at both of those things!

Jack got a special haircut for the trip so he would be easier to clean off after his romps in the mud. I think he looks pretty cute with short hair!

The 2 smallest in our group were Bently, the Italian Greyhound, and Mimi, the toy Poodle. Don't let their sizes fool you...these 2 are seasoned campers & hikers and could keep up with the best of us!

Dhani's new sister, Tink, was also on her first camp trip. She had a blast!

Dhani and I had to get a little bitey face in while we were there. One can never play enough bitey face!

Of course, Mom had to make me stand on all the big stumps to get pictures of me. I think she might think I am a billy goat. WRONG!

Kita was one of our oldest members...she was 11 years old, but still going strong!

Jack did what he does best. HUNT! We saw lots of this view while we were hanging around camp.

It was such a fun trip! There were a few snarky incidents with a few of the dogs (not me!), but overall we all got along fabulous.

checkin pee mail...wasn't sure if there would be good reception out here!

Riley (left) is secure in his masculinity & doesn't care who sees him wearing pink camo

Whew! What a fun weekend! I am ready to go home & sleep for 10 hours!!

Putting on the Rouge!

Check out this cutey! She has a permanent smile, and is our latest foster dog...her name is Rouge! All the poodle type doggies that come into Second Chance Dog Rescue get French names.

She joined the household on Wednesday evening, and so far seems to be adjusting pretty well. Fergie kitTON is not being very nice to her. Fergie is always a diva when a new dog comes to the house. She gets growly and hissy, and will even chase the new dog and smack them. Rouge isn't standing for that though, and gets fiesty herself when Fergie is nasty. Its a little stressy for Mom, but things seem to be settling down after about 24 hours so she's hoping another day or so and the household calm will return.

She's not thrilled with staying in her x-pen...and makes LOTS of racket when she's in there, but hopefully she'll learn to settle down. She's only had 1 accident in the house so far, so she seems pretty potty trained too. She's super sweet and loves to cuddle. I'm kinda jealous cuz Mom keeps letting all these small fosters sleep in bed with her...and I'm not allowed to! Something about me hogging the bed! As if!

There's an adoption event on Saturday...hopefully she'll find a paw'some home right away!

Au Revior Nice!

Silly girl!

Nice decided the lower spot on the cat tree was a good place to hang out. It provided her with the perfect lookout spot to peek out the window.

And it kept her out of the way of my big oafy feet. She got really tired of having to curse me out cuz I'm not very good about watching where I step.

I think she looks kind cute sittin on the cat tree.

Unfortunately, she won't be back cuz she was adopted by a super nice lady this morning at an adoption event! Woohooo!! Au revior Nice! We will miss you but are so happy you found your forever home!

Happy (belated) Birthday Phoebe!

Holy cow!

Phoebe is 2 years old!

I can't believe its already been that long.

She was such a cute little thing when Mom brought her home.

I liked to make sure she was clean...so often she had a permanent drooled look going on. BOL!

She doesn't let me do that much now, but we are still good furriends.

She's all grow'd up now...sweet as can be, as always wanting to play

I love my Phoebe kitTON! Happy Birthday Pheobe!
