One of the best things about living in Sandy Eggo is our proximity to everything fun. Oh...and the weather. :)
With an average high, year round of between 65 and 75...this really is a great place to live. Of course, we do get extremes sometimes (at least extremes for us!), and last week was one of those extremes.
A super cold storm blew threw Sandy Eggo, bringing snow levels down to about 3000 feet. That meant our local mountains got a nice fresh dumping of snow. That was Tuesday & Wednesday of last week. The rest of the week, we've had blue skies and beautiful temperatures...with cold nights. Perfect to keep that snow safe and sound until the weekend when Mom didn't have to work and we could go play!!
We headed up to the mountains around 8:30 in the morning. Better to beat the crowds!
We arrived to perfect conditions. It was pleasantly warm, with not a cloud in the sky.
And then it was game on! Zoomies in the snow!
Mya tried to catch me in a game of tag, but with my long legs I could sail thru the deep snow.
I could hear lots of critters under the snow...they were teasing and teasing, but I just couldn't find where they were!
this is the same hike we do every year when we go camping with Leash Your Fitness. The lake looked a little cold though!
Snow hiking makes a dog hungry!
Seriously fun day!

Of course, I had to stop and make some yellow snow.
